Cubs down Indians to square up World Series
The Chicago Cubs beat the Cleveland Indians 5-1 in Game 2 Wednesday night to even the World Series at a game apiece.

Bottom Ninth
Chapman allows a two-out walk to Brandon Guyer, but that's it. The Cubs win Game 2 and tie the 2016 World Series at a game apiece. Game 3 goes Friday in Chicago.
Top Ninth
Mike Clevinger gets the balls and has a sharp 1-2-3 inning.
Bottom Eighth
Hard-throwing closer Aroldis Chapman comes in with two-out and one man on to strikeout Ramirez. The Cubs are three outs away from tying the series.
Top Eighth
Otero has a smooth inning, sitting down Zobrist, Schwarber and Baez in order.
Bottom Seventh
Montgomery works around a two-out single and walk to get out of the seventh without any damage done. The Cubs still hold their 5-1 lead.
Top Seventh
After pitcher Jeff Manship loaded the bases with just one away, Danny Otero came in and proceeded to force Bryant to ground into a fielder's choice and for Rizzo to line out to Crisp in left. The Indians keep their deficit at four.
Bottom Sixth
The Indians finally get to Arrieta thanks to a double by Kipnis for their first hit of the ball game. He would later score on an Arrieta wild pitch to pull Cleveland within four. After a Mike Napoli single, Chicago manager Joe Maddon takes out Arrieta and puts in Mike Montgomery.
Top Sixth
Danny Salazar retires the first two batters he faces, before allowing back-to-back walks to Zobrist and Schwarber. Salazar gets Baez to fly out and end the threat.
Bottom Fifth
Arrieta keeps it rolling with another perfect inning. He has six Ks over five innings.
Top Fifth
Zobrist hit a triple down the right-field line to score Rizzo from first base, his second run of the game. Cubs lead 3-0 as Bryan Shaw comes in to pitch for McAllister.
The Cubs waste no time getting to Shaw as Schwarber hits another RBI single to score Zobrist and extend their lead to 4-0.
Baez kept the inning alive after a fielding error by Jason Kipnis. Jorge Soler would force a walk to load the bases and Russell did the same to score Willson Contreras from third base. 5-0 Cubs.
Bottom Fourth
Ramirez gets on with a two-out walk, but the Cubs get out of the inning unscathed. Arrieta has yet to allow a hit through four innings.
Top Fourth
After allowing a two-out single to Russell, Bauer is pulled from the game in favour of right-handed reliever Zach McAllister. McAllister struck out Dexter Fowler to end the inning.
Bottom Third
For the second straight inning, Arrieta sat down the Cleveland hitters in order.
Top Third
With two outs, Rizzo walked on a full count and then Ben Zobrist singled to centre. Kyle Schwarber, who is back in the lineup after missing basically the entire year with a knee injury, smoked a single to centre to score Rizzo.
Bottom Second
Chisenhall, Coco Crisp and Tyler Naquin went down in order.
Top Second
After a leadoff infield single by Javier Báez, Bauer sat down the next three. Centrefielder Lonnie Chisenhall made a nice running grab off a hard hit ball by Addison Russell to end the inning.
Bottom First
After sitting down the first two batters, starting pitcher Jake Arrieta walked Francisco Lindor and Mike Napoli back-to-back before making Jose Ramirez fly out to deep centre.
Top First
Kris Bryant hit a one-out single off starting pitcher Trevor Bauer followed by a double by Anthony Rizzo. Bryant scored from first to put the Cubs up 1-0.
