TORONTO — Canadian Rory (Red King) MacDonald will face Bellator welterweight champion Douglas (The Phenom) Lima on Jan. 20 in Los Angeles.

MacDonald, a former UFC 170-pound contender, won his Bellator debut in May when he submitted Paul (Semtex) Daley in London. The 28-year-old from Kelowna, B.C, who fights out of Montreal, has a 19-4-0 record.

Lima (29-6-0) is an Atlanta-based Brazilian who is in his second stint as Bellator champion. He lost the title to Andrey Koreshkov in July 2015 and then won it back from the Russian last November.

Lima, 29, defended his title in June, winning a decision over Lorenz Larkin.

The title fight is set for The Forum in suburban Inglewood.
