MANCHESTER, England - Manchester City has given Scott Sinclair another chance to revive his career by sending the winger on loan to fellow English Premier League side Aston Villa for the rest of the season.

Sinclair joined City from Swansea in the summer of 2012, when he played for Britain in the 2012 Olympic football tournament. He has failed to make an impact at Etihad Stadium, and spent last season on loan at West Bromwich.

The 25-year-old Sinclair, who has also played for Chelsea, made three appearances for City this season.

City says on Friday the loan switch to Villa is with a view to a permanent move in the summer.
