TSN announced the addition of Mike McEwen's 2014 Canada Cup winning team to the star-studded lineup competing at this year's Pinty's All-Star Curling Skins Game. The fan-favourite event kicks off next week from The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre in Banff National Park, with draws beginning January 16.

"Our team is absolutely thrilled to compete in the TSN skins event," said McEwen. "We are going to relish the opportunity to play and entertain fans in such an exciting format. We can't wait to join the rest of the teams in Banff."

Team McEwen, the No. 1 ranked team on the Canadian Team Ranking System (or World Curling Tour Order of Merit), is in the midst of its best season ever. McEwen's rink of B.J. Neufeld, Matt Wozniak, and Denni Neufeld has won five of its past six events – highlighted by a win at the Canada Cup in Dec. 2014.

Team McEwen will replace Team Glenn Howard, who will remain in Ontario to compete in the Challenge Round for a spot in the Ontario Tankard.

McEwen's wife Dawn – lead on Jennifer Jones' Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games gold medal team – is part of a strong women's contingent competing at next week's Pinty's All-Star Curling Skins Game that includes national champions Team Rachel Homan, Team Val Sweeting, and Team Chelsea Carey.
