Major League Baseball's non-waiver trade deadline has passed. Take a look at all the action that occurred during the day with TSN.ca's live blog.

4:45am ET: Ben Revere is excited to head north of the border.

4:36am ET: It's not a trade, but it's not great news for the Angels.

4:33pm ET: The Mets make things official.

4:28pm ET: All former Jays news, all the time.

4:25pm ET: So the Padres were apparently insistent on the Yankees including Mateo in any deal for Kimbrel and New York was even willing to do one better, but still no deal.

4:24pm ET: This is getting ridiculous. A third former Jay goes.

4:23pm ET: And another former Jay moves, this time to Texas.

4:21pm ET: Another former Jay is on the move, as JA Happ heads back to the Senior Circuit.

4:20pm ET: If the Padres' miracle run to the postseason fails, there are always waiver deals, but...

4:18pm ET: The Marlins have left it late, too.

4:16pm ET: The 2015 Michael Morse National League Tour touches down in Pittsburgh.

4:14pm ET: Another late one coming down.

4:10pm ET: The Jays plan to get their money's worth from David Price.

4:08pm ET: To reiterate, the Padres are eight games out of the NL West and seven-and-a-half games back of the Wild Card.

4:06pm ET: A minor trade between the O's and Cubs lands Joe Maddon's team another reliever.

4:05pm ET: Why did the Padres stand pat? The answer may surprise you.

4:04pm ET: In what has to be the biggest surprise of Friday, the Padres have apparently done nothing.

4:03pm ET: Names emerge as the return for Cespedes heading to Detroit.

4:01pm ET: As the Jays loaded up, the Yankees...did not.

4:00pm ET: DEADLINE HAS PASSED.

3:55pm RT: Contrary to earlier reports, Zack Wheeler is not heading to the Motor City.

3:48pm RT: The frisbee game goes on uninterrupted.

3:46pm ET: DONE DEAL. Ben Revere is a Toronto Blue Jay.

3:45pm ET: Dave Dombrowski is still working the phones.

3:43pm ET: Nobody told Yoenis that he might be heading to Queens.

3:39pm ET: A pair of prospects appear to be heading to Philly for Ben Revere.

3:32pm ET: As the Jays look to add two, Alex Anthopoulos has sent a pitcher to California.

3:31pm ET: As the Yankees wait, the Mets go big.

3:30pm ET: Kimbrel might have to cut his frisbee game short.

3:28pm ET: Okay, so maybe it's not all that intriguing...

3:20pm ET: Late intrigue from Ohio...

3:16pm ET: Maybe Justin Upton can get into that ultimate game.

3:14pm ET: Frustrated by their inability to be traded, members of the Padres' bullpen have left the sport altogether...or not.

3:06pm ET: Just acquired from the Braves, Alex Wood might never make his Dodgers debut.

3:03pm ET: Gallardo will stay put (BTW, Jon meant the Dodgers).

3:00pm ET: ONE HOUR REMAINS.

2:51pm ET: Revere is a medical away from joining the revamped Jays.

2:50pm ET: With all of the salary accrued in the offseason, it would be a colossal admission of defeat to divest themselves of assets this quickly, so this is perhaps why the Padres haven't been as active as expected.

2:47pm ET: A former Blue Jays heads to Korea.

2:42pm ET: A note on trade logistics:

2:31pm ET: Not satisfied with only Dan Haren...

2:30pm ET: We have the names of the Twins' prospects.

2:27pm ET: Hang on just one minute...

2:20pm ET: If the Yanks don't make a big move, the Mets might steal the headlines in New York.

2:15pm ET: The corresponding move from Thursday's acquisition of Dustin Ackley.

2:10pm ET: To put Alex Anthopoulos's week into perspective...

2:08pm ETAdd the Halos to the long list of Cespedes suitors.

2:06pm ET: Revere, in fact, heads to the Jays.

2:05pm ET: The Marlins' return for Haren.

2:02pm ET: Jays confirm Lowe deal.

2:01pm ET: Brian Cashman's reticence to part with the 20-year-old Domincan could preclude any deal with the Padres.

2:00pm ET: TWO HOURS REMAIN.

1:56pm ET: Holders of the second Wild Card, the Twins join the arms race.

1:52pm ET: Preller continues to work the phones.

1:50pm ET: On his way to the Brewers, Toronto-born Malik Collymore thanks the Cardinals organization.

1:44pm ET: Names are beginning to emerge in the Jays' deal for Mark Lowe.

1:43pm ET: Perhaps, another reason why Jay Bruce remains a Red so far this afternoon?

1:41pm ET: After having contemplated retirement in the offseason, soon-to-be Cub Haren has experienced a renaissance in Miami this year.

1:40pm ET: The Rays could look to deal from their surplus of arms.

1:37pm ET: If you were holding out for a blockbuster, here's some bad news.

1:32pm ET: Ian Kennedy has been scratched from his schedule start, but it's not because of a trade.

1:31pm ET: Carter Capps is a man in demand.

1:30pm ET: With the addition of Lowe, a corresponding move will be made when it comes to the Jays' roster.

1:28pm ET: It happens all the time in the NHL and it looks to be the case today in the MLB - deals will continue to trickle in past 4pm.

1:27pm ET: The well-travelled Danny Haren looks to remain well travelled.

1:25pm ET: The Brewers grab an arm off of the waiver wire.

1:22pm ET: ...and the Ben Revere talk isn't actually dead.

1:21pm ET: DONE DEAL. Mark Lowe heads to the Jays.

1:20pm ET: He's only 24 and under team control until 2020, but would the Marlins move their centre fielder?

1:13pm ET: Could the NL East leaders emerge as a destination for Cespedes?

1:09pm ET: The White Sox appear to be at a crossroads.

1:07pm ET: Another addition to the Jays' 'pen?

1:01pm ET: Even if it's not Jay Bruce, the Mets seem set on adding an outfielder.

1:00pm ET: THREE HOURS REMAIN.

12:55pm ET: They're 61-40 and have an eight-game lead in the AL Central, so the reigning AL Champions appear done with dealing.

12:46pm ET: The day seems to be hinging on AJ Preller.

12:45pm ET: Not lost in the Jay Bruce talk is that Zack Wheeler is coming off of Tommy John.

12:42pm ET: Another name to watch today in the potential exodus of players from San Diego.

12:42pm ET: A year after winning 15 games, Bud Norris has been designated for assignment.

12:41pm ET: Spare a thought for David Price's car as he continues his delayed journey to Toronto.

12:40pm ET: As the potential Jay Bruce trade drags on, a thought...

12:32pm ET: And now for some cold water on Kimbrel to the Bronx...

12:30pm ET: In making Travis's DL stint retroactive to Wednesday, he's eligible to return on August 13 against the A's.

12:26pm ET: Jays make Devon Travis's return to the disabled list official.

12:23pm ET: Chapman might be avoiding the heat of Phoenix, but Texas is still pretty hot this time of year.

12:22pm ET: Do not underestimate the value of compensation picks received when a free agent signs elsewhere for teams.

12:21pm ET: The Kimbrel-to-New York talk isn't going away.

12:20pm ET: A little more on Collymore:

12:15pm ET: Brewers confirm Broxton deal.

12:12pm ET: This could force the Jays' hand late.

12:07pm ET: The Rangers won't waste any time in throwing Hamels into the mix.

12:01pm ET: Not so fast on Roldie to the desert.

12:00pm ET: FOUR HOURS REMAIN.

11:58am ET: While it might not be the Jays, Revere could still ply his trade in the AL East.

11:55am ET: Yoenis Cespedes won't come cheap.

11:52am ET: DONE DEAL. The Brewers are staying busy, sending former 36-save man Jonathan Broxton to the Cards.

11:45am ET: Sorry, Jays fans. It looks like your premature Ben Revere jersey purchase was a bad idea.

11:37am ET: DONE DEAL (from three days ago). The Cole Hamels deal is finally official.

11:31am ET: Gerardo Parra is on his way to Camden Yards, but could a power bat be joining him in the outfield?

11:30am ET: Shark Week was last week and it look like teams who wanted Jeff Samardzija should have checked in last week.

11:28am ET: Could we have a good old-fashioned blockbuster in the cards?

11:15am ET: With Cole Hamels on his way, it's still possible that the Rangers decide to make a run at a Wild Card rather than sell off.

11:06am ET: Sage advice for teams to remember today?

10:57am ET: Another AL East is in the mix for Revere.

10:55am ET: With Leake gone and Bruce's deal with the Mets being finalized, Jocketty will look to sort out the Chapman situation next.

10:52am ET: The Dodgers are still looking to add to their rotation even after the acquisitions of Mat Latos and Alex Wood.

10:51am ET: Joba Chamberlain's road to an MLB return with the Jays hit a roadblock in Buffalo last night.

10:50am ET: Last night's big acquisition was Reds starter Mike Leake heading to the Giants. Brian Sabean doesn't see him as a rental.

10:40am ET: DONE DEAL. Gerardo Parra heads to Baltimore.

10:35am ET: Kimbrel won't come cheap and the Yankees could balk at the price.

10:33am ET: Gerardo Parra could have company in a new-look Baltimore outfield.

10:32am ET: The possible (and pretty ridiculous) downside to Capps?

10:30am ET: With their earliest interest in Justin Upton seemingly cooled, it appears the O's have found the corner outfielder that they sought.

10:27am ET: Why do the Yankees want Carter Capps? Well, here's one reason.

10:25am ET: Obviously, the sample size is small, but Jay Bruce hasn't exactly lit up Citi Field over his career.

10:23am ET: The Yanks will not be putting all their eggs into the Kimbrel basket.

10:21am ET: With the starting pitching market thinning out, Yovani Gallardo's name could be a prominent one heading closer to 4pm.

10:20am ET: Meanwhile, Carrasco had one of those dreaded "We're not trading you" conversations with Terry Francona on Thursday night.

10:15am ET: ...or the Jays have, in fact, moved on from Carrasco.

10:05am ET: Aroldis Chapman has one year remaining on his current deal and, if available, easily becomes the best relief option out there.

10:02am ET: With six hours left until the deadline, the table is set for Preller to be the belle of the ball.

10:00am ET: Could the trading of outfielder Yoenis Cespedes give the Tigers a better chance to keep him as a free agent?

9:50am ET: Brian Cashman doesn't seem to want to play by AJ Preller's schedule as the clock ticks closer to 4pm.

9:47am ET: Maybe the Jays haven't moved on from Carrasco after all.

9:45am ET: The Bruce-for-Wheeler deal is looking more and more like it will be the first big deal of the day.

9:30am ET: Even with the acquisitions of Troy Tulowitzki, LaTroy Hawkins and David Price, the Jays don't appear to be finished. One name unlikely to arrive in Toronto, though, is the Brewers' Gerardo Parra. The 28-year-old outfielder is hitting .328 with nine home runs and 31 RBI with an OPS of .886.

9:25am ET: There was much talk on Thursday of the Padres and Cubs lining up something potentially large and details of their discussions are emerging.

9:20am ET: The BoSox are 45-58 and dead last in the American League. With this year's playoffs a pipe dream, John Farrell's team could be looking to sabotage the plans of their archrival Yankees.

9:15am ET: The Tribe were close to completing a deal with the Jays for starter Carlos Carrasco last week, but the trade never came to fruition. The team is still fielding offers for the 28-year-old righty who just signed a four-year, $22M extension in April.

9:12am ET: The Padres had tongues wagging in the offseason with a slate of trades and high-profile signings, but they're already to turn the corner after falling well behind the Dodgers and Giants in the NL West. Divesting themselves of some of their high-earning assets could be a problem, though.

9:10am ET: The Mets and Reds spoke about a Zack Wheeler-for-Jay Bruce deal last week before Wheeler was dealt in the ill-fated Carlos Gomez deal trade with the Brewers. With that having fallen through, it looks like Sandy Alderson and Walt Jocketty have come back around again.
