THE AMERICAN LEAGUE

The one game Wild Card playoff game will take place in Texas with the Rangers hosting the Baltimore Orioles on Friday at 8:37pm et/5:37pm pt. The winner of that game will host the first two games of the ALDS against the New York Yankees on Sunday.

The other ALDS series will begin at 6:37pm et/3:37pm pt on Saturday, with the Detroit Tigers taking on the AL West winning Oakland Athletics in their best-of-five series.


THE NATIONAL LEAGUE

After blowing an 8.5 game lead to the St. Louis Cardinals in the last month of the 2011 season, the Atlanta Braves will look for revenge on Friday when the two teams meet in the one-game Wild Card playoff. The game is scheduled to start at 5:07pm et /2:07pm pt.

On Saturday, Joey Votto and the Central winning Cincinnati Reds will open their five-game set against the West champion San Francisco Giants at 9:37pm et/6:37pm pt. Then on Sunday, the top seed in the National League, the Washington Nationals will begin their NLDS against the winner of the Wild Card playoff.
