Blue Jays general manager J.P. Ricciardi has said that he's done adding to Toronto's offence, but Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim outfielder Torri Hunter told TSN's "Off the Record" Wednesday that one more move wouldn't hurt.

"I think Barry Bonds is a big pick up for a lot of teams," Hunter told OTR host Michael Landsberg when asked about recent rumours suggesting the home run king might fit in Toronto.  "If we needed a DH, I think Barry Bonds would be a great fit. I mean, he's one of the best hitters in the game. Why not have him?

"On the field he's one of the best players to ever play this game, so why not? The Blue Jays should go after him."

When asked about how Bonds might affect the Blue Jays' clubhouse, Hunter said it was nothing to worry about.

"I think he'd be a good fit. It's a different scene, a different clubhouse. That's Vernon Wells' clubhouse, you've got to respect that.. Trust me, he's a great guy, I know him pretty well. I think he's a pretty good guy in his own way.  You've just got to get to know Barry."

In the Next Question segment of the show, Hunter was asked if there was possibly collusion among MLB owners to keep Bonds out of the game.

"Next question," said Hunter with a smile.

He also said he didn't think steroid testing had anything to do with scoring being down this season in the American League.

"I don't know, the steroid issue, whatever it may be; I'm pretty sure it's not that.. "The pitching is getting a lot better and advanced scouting.. Any pitcher can get us out now."

Asked if he regretted bringing up the steroid issue, Hunter laughed.

"Steroids are in the past, nobody is worried about that, forget that stuff."
