While a lot of the recent talk surrounding any Roy Halladay trade has centered around the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox, at least one team from out West is seriously interested in the former Cy Young Award winner.

According to his Twitter account, USA Today's Bob Nightengale is reporting that the Los Angels Dodgers have strong interest in Halladay.

"#MLB The Dodgers badly need an ace and are focusing on Blue Jay ace Roy Halladay. The Dodgers would have to give up Billingsley and others," Nightengale wrote.

The Billingsley mentioned by Nightengale is 25-year old start Chad Billingsley, who posted a 12-11 record in 2009 with a 4.03 ERA and 179 strikeouts in 196.1 innings pitched.

While it's unclear who the other prospects would be, if the Dodgers could field a winning offer for Halladay, it would allow new Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos to avoid dealing one of, if not the best pitcher in baseball within the division.

While there has been some concerns that the divorce proceedings of Dodgers' owner Frank McCourt and his wife Jamie would effect the team's ability to spend in the off-season that doesn't appear to be the case.

"We're full steam ahead on every front," Dodgers' COO Dennis Mannion told Foxsports.com earlier in the day in an unrelated story to the Halladay report.
