Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Jamie Moyer has been hospitalized after experiencing recurring symptoms from his groin surgery in September.
Moyer had a procedure done to repair two torn groin tendons and a torn lower abdominal muscle suffered in a game against Houston. He was expected to be ready for Spring Training, although it is unclear how this situation will affect his timetable.
Moyer finished the 2009 campaign -- his 23rd in the majors and fourth with the Phillies -- with a 12-10 record and 4.94 earned run average in 30 games -- 25 starts.
