St. Petersburg, FL (Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Rays have acquired catcher Kelly Shoppach from the Cleveland Indians in exchange for a player to be named later.
Shoppach appeared in 89 games for the Tribe last season and hit .214 with 12 home runs and 40 RBI, while getting hit with a pitch an American League-high 18 times.
