TSN2 adds Sunday Night Baseball to its lineup

In the first of a series of major acquisitions for TSN2 to be announced over the next week, the network announced today the addition of ESPN's SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL broadcasts to its lineup of exclusive live sports coverage.  The weekly marquee Major League Baseball match-up will air every Sunday night on TSN2 through to the end of the 2013 season. TSN2's first SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL broadcast airs this Sunday (May 16) at 8 p.m. ET featuring Philadelphia @ Milwaukee.

SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL returns to the TSN family for the first time since it aired on TSN from 1990 to 2000.

SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL is the only exclusive nationally televised MLB game of the week, and features some of the best teams and biggest stars in the majors.  Each month, the broadcast schedule is selected to feature the best teams in baseball.

“Canada is full of passionate baseball fans and we're thrilled to continue to bring them Major League Baseball action every week,” said Phil King, President of TSN.  “SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL is appointment viewing for baseball fans and ads another marquee property to TSN2's growing lineup of live events.”

ESPN's veteran broadcast team of play-by-play announcer Jon Miller and analyst Joe Morgan lead coverage on SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL and are joined in the booth by analyst Orel Hershiser.  Miller was named the recipient of the 2010 Ford C. Frick Award by the National Baseball Hall of Fame while Morgan, a Hall of Fame second baseman and two-time National League MVP, has two Sports Emmy Awards to his credit.  Hershiser is a former Cy Young Award winner and World Series MVP.

TSN2 is currently available in more than 4.5 million homes and ranks as the most-watched digital sports channel in Canada in overall average audience and in all of the key advertising demographics.

TSN2's upcoming SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL broadcast schedule is as follows:
Sunday, May 16
Philadelphia @ Milwaukee at 8 p.m. ET

Sunday, May 23
New York Yankees @ New York Mets at 8 p.m. ET

Sunday, May 30
Texas @ Minnesota at 8 p.m. ET

Additional games will be confirmed throughout the season featuring some of the best teams in baseball.
