Yankees C Cervelli headed to disabled list

Bronx, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - New York Yankees catcher Francisco Cervelli is headed to the disabled list with Grade 2 right hamstring strain, the team announced on Monday.

The team will officially make the move prior to Tuesday's game against the Chicago Cubs and it will be retroactive to Monday.

Over five games this season, Cervelli is batting just .188 with one RBI.

Additionally, New York optioned right-handed pitcher Shane Greene to Triple-A Scranton.
