Mariners acquire OF Denorfia from Padres for two Minor Leaguers

The Seattle Mariners have acquired outfielder Chris Denorfia from the San Diego Padres for outfielder Abraham Almonte and minor-league pitcher Stephen Kohlscheen.

The 34-year-old Denorfia has a .242 average with one home run and 16 runs batted in over 89 games played this season with San Diego.

Denorfia has a .275 average with 36 home runs and 173 RBIs over 673 career games with the Cincinnati Reds, Oakland Athletics and Padres.
