Canada opens the double-elimination tournament in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in the eight-team international division. A victory would push Canada into a second game on Sunday against the winner of today's other international game between Tokyo, Japan and Maracaibo, Venezuela. The losers of today's two games will meet on Saturday in an elimination game.

The South Vancouver squad won the Canadian championship on Sunday with a 4-1 victory over Ontario's High Park Braves in Valleyfield, Quebec.
