Scouting Report

AssetsAthletic with both size and some power, he is good defensively in right field--where he rarely makes a mistake and regularly throws out runners. Has also shown the ability to hit for a good average in the minors.
FlawsLacks patience at the plate in a big way, leading to streakiness and a high strikeout total. It has prevented him from long-term success in the bigs. In fact, he lacks some consistency in his overall approach at the dish.
Career potentialVeteran backup outfielder.
