Scouting Report

AssetsIs a reliable workhorse who combines a low-90s', four-seam fastball with a slightly slower two-seamer and great movement. Has good command of four pitches and deception in his delivery. Changes speeds well. Is a true bulldog who shows emotion.
FlawsChallenges hitters a little too much, despite not having overwhelming zip on his fastball, which can hurt him at times (especially up in the zone). This leads to a few too many home runs hit against him. Also, his fiery nature and competitiveness can at times hinder him.
Career potentialVeteran workhorse starter.
