Report: Yankees close to re-acquiring Soriano from Cubs

The New York Post reports that the New York Yankees are close to re-acquiring Alfonso Soriano from the Chicago Cubs. 

According to The Post, the Cubs would get a mid-level prospect in return.

Soriano, who was dealt from the Yankees to the Texas Rangers for Alex Rodriguez in 2003, is batting .259 with 17 home runs and 51 RBI this season.

In 15 seasons with the Yankees, Rangers, Cubs and Washington Nationals, he has 389 career home runs, 1,086 runs batted in with a career OPS of .825.
