Vitor Belfort defeated Michael Bisping at UFC on FX 7, denying Bisping a shot at middleweight champion Anderson Silva.

Belfort (22-10) showed he's still a contender in the UFC by beating Bisping via second-round knockout. The 35-year-old Belfort hit Bisping with a big left kick before finishing him on the ground early in the second round.

Rather than target Silva after the win, Belfort instead asked for a rematch with light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

In other bouts on the night, C.B. Dollaway defeated Daniel Sarafian in a middleweight tilt via split decision, Gabriel Gonzaga submitted Ben Rothwell in the second round of a heavyweight matchup, and Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated Thiago Tavares via knockout in the first round of a lightweight match.
