TORONTO -- Montreal bantamweight Ivan (The Pride of El Salvador) Menjivar will take on Japan's Norifumi (Kid) Yamamoto at UFC 165 in Toronto.

Menjivar (25-10) is coming off a loss to Urijah (The California Kid) Faber at UFC 157 in February. Menjivar, 31, is 4-2 since returning to the UFC after a stint in the WEC.

The 36-year-old Yamamoto (18-6 with one no contest) has lost all three of his UFC fights -- to Vaughan Lee, Darren Uyenoyoma and Demetrious (Mighty Mouse) Johnson.

UFC Canada tweeted news of the matchup.

The main event of the Sept. 21 card at the Air Canada Centre pits light-heavyweight champion Jon (Bones) Jones against Sweden's Alexander (The Mauler) Gustafsson.
