BROSSARD - There were a lot of positive vibes around the Canadiens practice this morning when it comes to the health of their missing blue liners.

Hal Gill was back in the full rotation and will play tomorrow night in Carolina against the Hurricanes. Gill missed the last week after he spent a couple of nights in hospital with a skin infection caused by a cut that was aggravated by hockey gear.

Andrei Markov also took another step closer to his return as he was cleared for contact for the first time today. While he still is not expected back until at least the California road trip next week, this is considered a huge step in his stride toward returning to the line-up.

Chris Campoli and Andrei Kostitsyn both skated on their own today and are still expected to be out for a while.

Absent from practice this morning was Pierre Gervais, who was attending the funeral of his long time friend and mentor Eddy Palchak.

Also, don't forget to help support Movember. Just eight days to go! I'll be wearing my Prostate Cancer Canada blue tie on the air this Friday on TSN for the Habs-Flyers afternoon tilt. Go to tsn.ca/movember for more info and to donate.
