Montreal Canadiens forward Michael Cammalleri left in the first period of Sunday's game against the Winnipeg Jets.

With around four minutes left in the frame, teammate Yannick Weber appeared to get his skate caught up in the right leg of Cammalleri.

Cammalleri quickly skated to the Canadiens' bench and then began asking the refs to stop play so he could be rushed to the dressing room. It is believed he will miss two weeks with the injury.

He scored the game's first goal just 3:05 into the contest.

Cammalleri is entering his third season with the Canadiens, signing as an unrestricted free agent on July 1, 2009.

The native of Richmond Hill, Ont., was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the second round (49th overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. On June 20, 2008, the Kings traded Cammalleri to the Calgary Flames for a first round selection in 2008 (17th overall).
