The National Hockey League's collective bargaining talks took a humorous turn on Twitter late Wednesday night.
TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.com tweeted a picture of media members that the NHL allowed into a meeting room on Wednesday. In the picture, TSN's Darren Dreger was fixing his tie with an intense look on his face.
And Dreger's face became an internet meme in which people cut out the Insider's mug and super-imposed it on various images - like a scene from The Godfather, the Mona Lisa and even the Ikea Monkey. The hashtag #Dregerface also trended worldwide early Thursday morning.
"I owe Dregs a big steak dinner. At least. Sheesh," LeBrun tweeted when #Dregerface blew up on social media.
In the spirit of the popularity of 'Dregerface', Darren has agreed to make the best altered photo his Twitter avatar for three days.
