With the NHL Trade Deadline three days away, teams are making decisions on whether to buy or sell. Check out today's trade rumours and speculation from around the NHL beat, and follow TSN.ca each day until Deadline Day for all the updates.

Never Say Never

According to Steve Simmons of the Toronto Sun, Toronto Maple Leafs GM Dave Nonis says he isn't close to a trade leading up to his first Trade Deadline in charge of Toronto's roster, but that doesn't mean that something can't materialize in the next couple of days.

The hot question in Toronto right now is whether they have interest in veteran Vancouver Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo. Simmons says the Leafs could also be after a top-four defenceman and a depth centre.

Keeping All Three?

With Craig Anderson looking like he's close to a return from his ankle injury, the Ottawa Sun reports Ottawa Senators GM Bryan Murray won't keep all three goalies (Ben Bishop and Robin Lehner the others) on the roster.

Murray said his plan right now is to send Lehner down to the AHL, but there is some speculation that Bishop could be available via trade.

Deadline Buyers

The Orange County Register reports that the Anaheim Ducks will certainly be buyers at the Trade Deadline. The Ducks could be encouraged to make a move to keep pace with other contenders like the Pittsburgh Penguins, who recently acquired Jarome Iginla, Brenden Morrow, and Douglas Murray.

The article mentions Washington Capitals centre Mike Ribeiro as a potential target in what could be a thin trade market.

Looking for Defence

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the Chicago Blackhawks were looking to acquire New York Islanders defenceman Lubomir Vishnovsky before he re-signed with the Islanders.

That would stand to reason then that the Blackhawks will be looking for help on defence leading up to the deadline.

Keeping Their Own

Newsday reports the New York Islanders have at least begun talking contract with defenceman Mark Streit, forward Brad Boyes, and goaltender Evgeni Nabokov, meaning all three players likely won't be traded by the Trade Deadline.

Goaltending Trio

CSNWashington talked to Washington Capitals GM George McPhee about the team's three goalies. McPhee said that even with Braden Holtby playing well, Michal Neuvirth could still have a spot on the team.
