Monday's pre-season game against the Boston Bruins will take on a whole new meaning for P.K and Malcolm Subban, as this will mark the first official time the two brothers will play against each other.

Malcolm was selected 24th overall by the Bruins in 2012, he is the younger brother of Canadiens star defenseman and will be in goal for the Bruins for part of tonight's game at the Bell Centre. Their parents will be making the trip from Toronto to Montreal to be on hand for Monday's game, but no word on which team they'll be cheering for.

"It's a great opportunity for him to get a taste of the NHL, he is only 19-years-old and to get a chance this early is pretty unique" P.K said Monday morning.

P.K has reached out to his brother via text message on Sunday but jokingly said that Malcolm has been giving him the cold shoulder.

"I don't know what they're telling him over there," the Norris Trophy winner said with a smile on his face.

Both players are extremely competitive and would do whatever it takes to help their team win, regardless of the family member on the other team. This probably won't be the last time the two Subban's face off against each other, and they also have a younger brother Jordan, a defenceman that was drafted this summer by the Vancouver Canucks.

Lines from Habs' Monday Morning Skate:

Pacioretty - Desharnais - Briere
Leblanc - White - Moen
Thomas - Dumont - Hudon
Fournier - Tarnasky - Blunden

Gorges - Subban
Murray - Bouillon
Nygren - Dietz

Goalies: Carey Price and Robert Mayer

Jarred Tinordi was given the morning skate off but will play tonight against the Boston Bruins. Magnus Nygren replaced Tinordi this morning but will not play.
