Magic win series 4-3

Orlando Magic

Team Page | Roster | Stats

Regular Season Record: 59-23
Head-to-Head Record: 2-2
Last NBA Championship: Never
Last NBA Finals Appearance: 1995
Last Postseason Appearance: 2008

How They Got Here: The Magic defeated the 76ers 4-2 in their opening round series, and they showed some depth in doing it. With star Dwight Howard sitting out Game 6 with a suspension, Rashard Lewis and Rafer Alston together scored 50 points in a series-clinching rout of Philadelphia, 114-89.

A Reason To Cheer For The Magic: Orlando was 33-8 and the halfway point of the season, and went on to win their second straight division title. Led by one of the league's most exciting and dynamic players in 23-year-old Dwight Howard, the Magic are seeking their first trip to the NBA Finals since losing to the Rockets in 1995. The Magic have an excellent long-range game and their depth means that anyone on the court can be dangerous at any given time, adding a little unpredictability to their game. They'll need to toughen up from the top down if they are to compete with some of the more physical teams they could meet.

Players to Watch: Dwight Howard, Rashard Lewis, Hedo Turkoglu

Boston Celtics

Team Page | Roster | Stats

Regular Season Record: 62-20
Head-to-Head Record: 2-2
Last NBA Championship: 2008
Last NBA Finals Appearance: 2008
Last Postseason Appearance: 2008

How They Got Here: The Celtics defeated the Bulls in one of the most exciting playoff series in NBA history. It took seven games and numerous overtimes but Boston pulled out the victory in the decisive game to move on.

A Reason To Cheer For The Celtics: The Celtics are a huge part of the historical fabric of the NBA, having won 17 championships, 20 conference title and 27 division titles. As far as tradition goes, it's tough to top the Celts, with 21 numbers retired. Fueled by Kevin Garnett's passion and the unstoppable power of the Big Three, Boston got off to an incredible 27-2 start this season. They won 19 straight games (a franchise record) and had another streak of 12 wins in a row this season. But without Garnett for the second season, there could be trouble. But the Celtics are still an exciting team to watch, and wouldn't it be fun to see an epic Celtics-Lakers rematch in the Finals? The Celts are a hard-working, physical squad, and rather than resting on last season's accolades, they look just as hungry to win it this year.

Players to Watch: Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo

Eastern Conference Finals

(1) Miami Heat vs. (3) Indiana Pacers

Heat lead series 1-0

Western Conference Finals

(2) San Antonio Spurs vs. (5) Memphis Grizzlies
