Jason Kapono's days as a Toronto Raptor are over.

Kapono has been traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Reggie Evans.

Evans, a 6-8 power forward, averaged 14.4 MPG with 4.6 RPG and 3.3 PPG over his 79 games last season with seven starts. In 2007-08 he started 61 games averaged 23.2 MPG and 7.5 RPG. While he does not have a great offensive game, he brings energy and strong rebounding.

"Reggie Evans will certainly add an element of toughness to our team," said Raptors president and general manager Bryan Colangelo in a media release. "He has very good rebounding and defensive instincts, addressing two areas where we have underperformed."

He makes approximately $5-million per over the next two seasons.

Kapono is a two-time winner of the NBA Three-Point shooting contest and he averaged 8.2 PPG and 2 RPG over his 80 games for the Raptors.

Kapono will make just over $6 million per over the next two seasons. He signed with Toronto as a free agent July 11, 2007.

Adding Evans is just one of many changes that the Raptors could make this off-season with Shawn Marion and Anthony Parker both set to become free agents on July 1.

All-star forward Chris Bosh is eligible to sign a contract extension this summer as he heads into the last year on his contract.  There has been much speculation that if the Raptors can't sign him, that he could be dealt before he could leave as an unrestricted free agent.

The Raptors finished with a disappointing 33-49 record last season, and finished 13th in the Eastern Conference.
