Toronto Raptors forward Reggie Evans sustained a left foot sprain during the second quarter of Wednesday's loss to the Boston Celtics.
Although no timetable has been set for his return, he will likely be sidelined for the remainder of the pre-season.
The Raptors acquired Evans in an off-season trade that saw Jason Kapono shipped to Philadelphia in exchange for the scrappy power forward.
The seven-year veteran has averaged 7.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 16.8 minutes in five pre-season games. He had a high of 11 points against the Timberwolves on October 9 and nine rebounds versus the Sixers on October 7.
The Raptors host the Houston Rockets at the Air Canada Centre this evening and the Celtics on Sunday afternoon before heading to Minnesota for the season's final pre-season game on Friday. The Raptors' regular season starts on Wednesday, October 28 when the Cleveland Cavaliers visit Toronto.
