(Sports Network) - The Toronto Raptors limp into Memphis in the middle of a five-game losing streak to face the Grizzlies, winners of 10 of their last 11 games.
Tonight will be their fifth road game in their last six overall, and after a quick trip home Friday to pack and take on the Phoenix Suns, the Raptors head west for five games.
In Tuesday's loss to the Houston Rockets, Andrea Bargnani led the way with 21 points and rookie Terrance Ross, the eighth pick in this past summer's draft, scored 19 off the bench in 35 minutes.
Four other Raptors scored in double-digits, but one of them was not Kyle Lowry. He made his return to Houston after an offseason trade and notched seven points on 3-for-10 shooting.
The Rockets shot 53 percent from the field and 50 percent from the 3-point line en route to the easy victory.
"Houston outran us down the floor and our turnovers killed us," said Raptors coach Dwane Casey, whose team committed 16 turnovers. "Houston shot the heck out of the ball, but we caused some of that by our turnovers."
The Grizzlies are in the middle of a season-long, five-game homestand and they've defended their building very well.
Dating back to last regular season, the Grizz are 17-1 at FedEx Forum and Memphis owns the best record in the NBA based on winning percentage.
On Monday, the Grizzlies toppled the Cleveland Cavaliers, 84-78. Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol led the way with 19 points apiece, but Randolph's stretch of 11 straight double-doubles was snapped when he only managed eight rebounds.
Jerryd Bayless started in place of Mike Conley, who missed the game with flu- like symptoms. Bayless sealed the hard-fought victory with a late jumper and some free throws.
"I have to give the guys a lot of credit. We worked hard tonight," Randolph said. "They are a good team, better than what their record shows."
The Grizzlies are about as good as their record shows.
They are 10th in the league in scoring, third in opponents' scoring, second in free-throw shooting and third in steals.
The Grizzlies are 14-5 in their last 19 against the Raptors, although Toronto beat Memphis on the road last season.
