It appears Steve Nash will be back in action for the Los Angeles Lakers by the end of December.

The delay in Nash's return has reportedly been caused by nerve damage to his leg, as opposed to the actual fracture itself, according to a source that spoke to Yahoo! Sports.

Nash, who suffered a broken fibula on November 1, was on pace to return to the lineup a few weeks ago, but has been unable to because of nerve irritation.

The 38-year-old is still waiting to be cleared to fully participate in practice, despite partaking in dribbling and conditioning drills.

Without Nash in the lineup, the Lakers have struggled and are currently in 12th in the West with a 9-12 record.
