Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry did not participate in practice on Monday due to flu-like symptoms that started bothering him before Sunday's game against the Phoenix Suns.
Lowry was kneed in the head on Sunday and was assessed by the trainers on the bench. He was tested again after the game and showed no symptoms.
Lowry said the headaches he was experiencing have cleared up, confirming that he's been cleared under the league's concussion protocol.
"It was a really powerful blow but I'm okay," said Lowry. "Luckily, we have great doctors and a great staff and they checked everything out."
Whether he plays against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday will be based on his ability to bounce back from the flu but Lowry confirmed he will play.
Patrick Patterson saw a doctor Monday afternoon and he is expected to travel with the team to Atlanta.
