The moment it was known LeBron James would be taking his talents back to the shores of Lake Erie, the odds for the Cavaliers to win the NBA championship skyrocketed. According to bodog.ca, Cleveland moved up to grab the best odds to win the Larry O'Brian trophy at 4-1 on Friday. By comparison, the Miami Heat's odds plummeted from 3-1 favourites before LeBron left, to 50-1. Below the Toronto Raptors, New York Knicks and Memphis Grizzles.

This release of course, comes before the other dominoes in free agency have fallen. Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade all have yet to confirm next season's teams of choice.

On Monday, the Cavaliers' odds to win the NBA Championship were at 20-1. On Wednesday, as James' decision drew near with rumours that he could possibly make a return to Cleveland, the odds were slashed to 8-1.
