Report: James to play Heat on Christmas Day

The schedule for the 2014-2015 NBA regular season won't officially be announced until 6pm et Wednesday, but a few notable games have already been leaked.

According to Yahoo Sports', LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers will play the first game of their new era against the New York Knicks at home on Oct. 30. The Cavs will then play the following night, on Halloween, at the United Centre against the Chicago Bulls.

James will battle his former team, the Miami Heat, for the first time on Christmas in South Beach. Other Christmas Day games include, Wizards-Knicks, Thunder-Spurs, Lakers-Bulls and finally Warriors-Clippers.

The season will kick off on Oct. 28 as the defending champs Spurs battle their Texan rivals the Dallas Mavericks at the AT&T Centre. The Rockets will also play the Lakers that night at Staples Centre.
