The Toronto Raptors have reportedly agreed to trade F James Johnson to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for a 2014 second-round draft pick.
The Kings will absorb the remainder of Johnson's contract providing the Raptors with additional roster and salary cap flexibility.
"The addition of Landry Fields and Terrence Ross created some crowding at the wing positions," said Raptors President and General Manager Bryan Colangelo in a statement. "This move frees up minutes for our players under contract, increases our financial flexibility and opens up a roster spot to address other needs."
Johnson averaged 9.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 25.2 minutes in 62 games last season. He was acquired from Chicago on February 22, 2011. In 87 appearances with the Raptors, Johnson posted averages of 9.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 26.0 minutes.
