TORONTO - The Raptors have agreed to terms on a two-year deal with free agent forward Austin Daye, a source confirmed to TSN.ca Tuesday evening.

Daye, 25, will be signed at or near the league minimum and the second year of his contract will not be guaranteed.

Acquired by Memphis in the deal that sent Rudy Gay to Toronto at the end of January, the 6-foot-11 forward averaged 4.0 points and 1.9 rebounds in 31 contests with the Grizzlies after spending his first three-plus NBA seasons with the Pistons. Detroit selected Daye with the 15th overall pick out of Gonzaga in 2009. He has averaged 5.6 points and 2.8 rebounds in four seasons.

A versatile forward who has had success as a three-point shooter off the bench in Detroit, Daye will give the Raptors added depth behind Gay and DeMar DeRozan on the wing. He will also have to contend with Landry Fields, sophomore Terrence Ross and the newly acquired Steve Novak as a reserve for Toronto.

First reported by Yahoo Sports, the signing of Daye will cap the Raptors' roster at 15. The recently acquired Quentin Richardson is still under contract but will not play for Toronto as the team continues to weigh its options before parting ways with the veteran forward. The Raptors prefer to include Richardson in a trade but no deal is immediately imminent.
