MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The Philadelphia 76ers have acquired guard Tony Wroten from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for a conditional second round draft selection in2 014 and a trade exception.

The Grizzlies announced the trade Thursday.

The 6-foot-6, 208-pound Wroten was the 25th pick overall in 2012 after he played one season in college at Washington. He played in 35 games and averaged 2.6 points and 1.2 assists with the Grizzlies assigning him to their D-League affiliate in Reno four times last season.

But Wroten became expendable when the Grizzlies signed guard Nick Calathes to back up Mike Conley.
