West Lafayette, IN (Sports Network) - E'Twaun Moore scored 15 points and Robbie Hummel added 11 with as many as rebounds, as sixth-ranked Purdue rolled to a 64-38 victory over Central Michigan.

Keaton Grant chipped in 10 points for the Boilermakers (5-0), who put on a defensive display in their return home after winning the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands last weekend.

Purdue held Central Michigan to just 28.3 percent shooting in the contest. Robbie Harman and Jordan Bitzer, CMU's top scorers entering the game at 16.4 points and 14.0 points, respectively, combined to make only 3-of-17 shots.

Harman scored six points and Bitzer three for the Chippewas (2-4), who have lost three in a row. Finis Craddock was CMU's leading scorer with eight points.

Purdue pulled away midway through the first half with a 9-0 run. Moore ignited the burst and snapped a 9-9 tie with a three-pointer and Grant scored the next four before a bucket by JaJuan Johnson with 9 1/2 minutes remaining gave Purdue an 18-9 bulge.

The Chippewas drew within six soon after, but the Boilermakers closed the half with the last nine points for a 29-14 cushion. Purdue made just 1-of-8 three- point tries in the opening 20 minutes, but compensated with a 10-for-10 effort from the foul line.

Central Michigan got as close as 12 just three minutes into the second half when a three-pointer by Jalin Thomas made it a 32-20 game. It was still a 12- point difference a few minutes later, but the Boilermakers put it away with a 13-0 run.

Moore scored four during the spurt and Hummel drilled a three-pointer with just over eight minutes left to give Purdue a commanding 49-24 advantage. The Chippewas never threatened again.
