TSN and Powerade are teaming up to showcase 24 of Canada's future stars today.

This week, the spotlight hits the collegiate hardcourt with Kamloops, B.C.'s Kelly Olynyk.

Gonzaga claimed the No. 1 ranking for the first time in the school's history and Olynyk was a huge part in leading the Bulldogs to this feat. The 21-year-old was Gonzaga's leading scorer with 17.5 points per game and is second on the team in rebounds with seven. He and fellow Canadian Kevin Pangos of Newmarket, Ont., are also the team's leaders in assists.

The seven-foot phenom also shot 65 per cent from the field and was an incredible 34.6 per cent from the three-point line.

Olynyk was also the West Coast Conference Player of the Year and one of 15 candidates up for the prestigious John R. Wooden Award, which goes to college basketball's top student-athlete.
