King Canuck:  Daniel Sedin became the Canucks' all-time leader in goals scored with 348 in Vancouver's 4-2 win over the Boston Bruins last night. Sedin passed Markus Naslund for the franchise lead. In Toronto, Jordan Staal scored the game's only goal in overtime in a 1-0 Hurricanes win over the Maple Leafs. And in New Jersey, the Devils scored five goals in the first period to chase Craig Anderson and cruised to a 6-3 win over the Senators.

Around the NHL:  In other Canadian team action, the Predators beat the Jets 4-1, the Flames topped the Blue Jackets 4-2, and the Stars beat the Oilers 3-2. The Montreal Canadiens were idle but announced that Carey Price could miss another 3-4 weeks with his lower-body injury.

Starring Role:  Kyle Lowry of the Toronto Raptors was voted in as a starter for the Eastern Conference All-Stars last night for the second straight year. Kobe Bryant was the league's top vote getter in what will be his final All-Star appearance. The Raptors themselves are back in action tonight at home with a showdown against Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat.

National Pride:  The Canadian Tire National Figure Skating Championships kick off in Halifax and you can watch coverage over the next three days on CTV and TSN. Ladies short and ice dance short get things started on the TSN Network at 2pm et/11am pt, while men's short and pairs short hit the ice on TSN1 and TSN4 at 7pm et/4pm pt.
