Running It Up: Carlos Gonzalez homered and the Colorado Rockies scored six runs in the seventh and nine unanswered to beat the Toronto Blue Jays 9-5 last night to spoil Troy Tulowitzki's return to Colorado. Tulowitzki went 0-for-4 in his first game at Coors Field since Toronto acquired him from the Rockies last July 27. The teams play again tonight as J.A. Happ faces Eddie Butler.

Getting The Call: The Big E will be a Hall of Famer. Eric Lindros, standout goaltender Rogie Vachon, Russian star Sergei Makarov and builder Pat Quinn were voted in Monday afternoon as the Hockey Hall of Fame’s Class of 2016. The wait for Lindros will end  after six attempts when one of hockey's best power forwards of his era is enshrined in November.

Happy Hab: The Montreal Canadiens signed newly-acquired forward Andrew Shaw to a six-year contract yesterday. TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reports the deal holds an average annual value of $3.9 million, for a total of $23.4 million. Shaw was acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks during last weekend's draft.

Right at Home: Milos Raonic was a straight-sets winner over Spain's Pablo Carreno Busta to open Wimbledon yesterday. Fellow Canadians Genie Bouchard and Vasek Pospisil both hit the court for their first-round matches today. Coverage begins on the TSN Network at 6:30am et/3:30am pt. Pospisil plays on TSN1 at 6:30am et, while Bouchard plays the third match on TSN4.

Slaying a Giant: Iceland pulled off one of the biggest shocks in European Championship history by beating England 2-1 in the Round of 16 on Monday, continuing the astonishing run of the smallest nation at the tournament. In the other knockout game Italy ousted two-time defending Euro champion Spain 2-0 to reach the quarter-finals.
