Back in Gear:  Josh Donaldson hit a grand slam and finished with five RBIs, Edwin Encarnacion hit a two-run homer and the Toronto Blue Jays routed the Philadelphia Phillies 11-3 in a matinee yesterday. Marcus Stroman threw seven strong innings and improved to 6-2 on the season. The teams move to Philadelphia to continue their series tonight as Marco Estrada faces Jeremy Hellickson.

Rising Up:  Iceland provided the biggest surprise of EURO 2016 so far by holding Portugal to a 1-1 draw in Group F action. Yesterday's other match was also a surprise as Hungary upset Austria 2-0. Today teams in Group A play for the second time as Slovakia faces Russia, Switzerland plays Romania, and Albania faces host France. Saying Goodbye:  Gordie Howe made his final visit to Joe Louis Arena yesterday, where a steady stream of fans and hockey dignitaries, including Wayne Gretzky, Scotty Bowman and Steve Yzerman, came to pay their respects to Mr. Hockey throughout the day. The funeral service for one of hockey's icons will be held today in Detroit with coverage available on TSN3 and TSN GO beginning at 10am et/7am pt.

Vegas, Baby?:  A person with direct knowledge of the NHL's decision told The Associated Press that the league has settled on Las Vegas as its choice for expansion, provided organizers can come up with a $500 million fee. The NHL declined comment on the report. The issue still needs to be voted on next week by the NHL's Board of Governors, with an announcement possible shortly afterwards.

Real Rough:  The U.S. Open in Oakmont, Pennsylvania tees off tomorrow and as TSN golf analyst Bob Weeks explains, you can expect the rough to provide a brutal test for golfers on one of the toughest courses in the world.
