Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - Cincinnati Bengals running back Cedric Benson was sidelined for the second straight game Sunday against Cleveland due to a strained hip.
Benson returned to practice in a limited capacity on Friday but had missed last week's sessions and last Sunday's loss to Oakland because of the injury, which was sustained in the first half of a Week 10 win over Pittsburgh.
Against the Raiders, Bernard Scott carried the ball 21 times for 119 yards in place of Benson, who has rushed for 859 yards and six touchdowns in nine games this season. Scott will get the start Sunday against the Browns.
Linebacker Keith Rivers (calf) was also inactive for a third straight week, while offensive lineman Andre Smith, the sixth overall pick in last year's draft, will dress for the first time this season.
