Report: Nicks assures teams his injuries are behind him

Three days ahead of NFL free agency opening, Hakeem Nicks is letting teams know he's medically ready to go for next season.

According to a report from ESPN, Nicks has circulated letters from top doctors and specialists assuring teams the receivers foot and knee troubles will not hamper his 2014 performance.

Nicks' past two seasons with the New York Giants were hindered by the injuries.

The 26-year-old had two 1,000-yard plus seasons in 2010 and 2011 before his numbers dipped the past two years.

In his five NFL seasons, the former first-round pick has 311 receptions for 4,622 yards and 27 touchdowns.
