Rolando McClain wants to return to the NFL and the Baltimore Ravens activated the linebacker off the reserve-retired list.
McClain worked out with the Ravens earlier in the week and according to reports it didn't go well. McClain showed up late to the workout and failed to complete his conditioning tests.
It's unknown whether the Ravens, who said they would welcome back McClain if he shows that he has matured, activated the linebacker so that he could participate in the team's off-season team workouts or so that they could release him.
McClain, a top 10 pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, was a bust with the Oakland Raiders. The team finally released him in 2012 after three arrests in an 11-month span, before the Ravens signed him to a low risk contract last year.
