Bucs sign second-round pick David

Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed linebacker Lavonte David, the club's second-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Financial terms of the four-year deal were not disclosed.

David was selected with the 58th overall choice in April after a stellar two years at Nebraska. He is fourth in school history with 285 tackles and also compiled 28 tackles for loss, 11 1/2 sacks, two interceptions, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

As a senior in 2011, David ranked third in the Big Ten with 133 tackles and added 5 1/2 sacks with 13 tackles for loss. He posted a school-record 152 tackles as a junior in 2010.
