Englewood, CO (Sports Network) - The Denver Broncos placed defensive tackle Ty Warren on injured reserve with a torn triceps on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old joined Denver in 2011 after spending his first seven seasons with the New England Patriots.

He has collected 374 tackles and 20 1/2 sacks over 106 career games with Denver and New England.

The Broncos also waived offensive lineman C.J. Davis and signed quarterback Caleb Hanie and center Dan Koppen.

Hanie. who Denver released on Saturday, played in 11 games with four starts over three season with the Chicago Bears.

He has thrown for 679 yards with three touchdowns and 10 interceptions in his career.

Davis played in seven games for the Carolina Panthers in 2010 before appearing in Sunday's season-opening victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, while Koppen appeared in 121 games over nine seasons with the Patriots, earning a Pro Bowl nod in 2007.
