The New England Patriots could be looking to the desert for another weapon for quarterback Tom Brady.

CSN New England reports that the team is interested in Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, whom they reportedly tried to acquire last off-season.

Fitzgerald, 30, will account for $18 mill. against the cap this summer and, by all indications, is in no hurry to restructure his contract. While there's no indication that the Cardinals intend to move the eight-time Pro Bowler, the money owed to Fitzgerald could be the impetus for a move away from the team that drafted him third-overall out of Pittsburgh back in 2004.

Even though the Cardinals finished 10-6 this season, they still finished third in the NFC West behind the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco Giants to miss the playoffs.
