TSN Top 30 Archive

Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie has covered every NHL Draft since 1980 and his annual TSN rankings are considered the most accurate indicator of how the draft will unfold. In the 2011 Draft, 25 of his top 30 prospects were first-round picks. In the last ten years, McKenzie is 256 of 300 in terms of projecting first rounders (85.33 percent).

TSN's annual survey of NHL scouts asks them which players will be taken in the first round and at which position. The final rankings are based on a consensus of opinion and do not take into account the NHL teams' order of selection or specific teams needs.
