Returning to the lineup Thursday after missing one game with a knee injury, Blues defenseman Alex Pietrangelo played a team-high 26 minutes, 34 seconds in Game 3. He assisted on Chris Stewart's second goal. "Really good, he was good," Ken Hitchcock said. "He's going to get better, he's going to get fresher now ... two days off is going to help him. Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock says that D Alex Pietrangelo's injury is, "between the middle and lower body". It is potentially a back injury and not a concussion that he has been dealing with. Pietrangelo skated with the team this morning aloongside Carlo Colaiakovo and Hitchock said that if Pietrangelo is in the warmup he will play. If not, Ian Cole will replace him in the lineup.

Matt D'Agostini will replace Chris Stewart on the third line as Hitchcock wants more speed in the lineup. D'Agostini will also play on the second power-play unit. - TSN

The Blues could be without D Alex Pietrangelo, who didn't play in the third period after getting his head driven into the boards by Dwight King behind the St. Louis net on the penalty that led to the short-handed goal. Coach Ken Hitchcock seemed to indicate Pietrangelo had concussion symptoms, but said he couldn't concern himself with that right now. - LA Daily News

Injured Blues GJaroslav Halak skated before the team's practice on Thursday at St. Louis Mills but still won't be ready for the first two games of the series with the Kings that starts Saturday. Brian Elliott, who last skated on Monday as Hitchcock gave him Tuesday off and the team Wednesday off, was back in one goal on Thursday, with Jake Allen in the other. Hitchcock said that declaring Halak out so far in advance was a way to get a potential distraction out of the way. - St. Louis Post Dispatch
