Watch it live on TSN, TSN2 and TSN MOBILE TV
Hockey Lives Here! Canada's favourite pastime makes itself at home on TSN and TSN2, as both networks hit the ice for the NHL ON TSN with more regular season games and more national coverage of Canadian teams than ever before.
All games on TSN and TSN2 are available nationally in High Definition. Each game is also available live on TSN Mobile TV and Wednesday Night Hockey games can be seen live on TSN.ca.
In addition, Canadian hockey fans are well-served this season with the weekly staple, WEDNESDAY NIGHT HOCKEY, along with THAT'S HOCKEY and up-to-the-minute NHL news and highlights on SPORTSCENTRE and the first three rounds of the STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS.
NHL ON TSN also has comprehensive coverage of the NHL ENTRY DRAFT, featuring the TSN-produced NHL DRAFT LOTTERY SPECIAL in April and the NHL ON TSN MOCK DRAFT SPECIAL in June. Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie also produces three rankings of prospects eligible for the NHL ENTRY DRAFT, including his final ranking in a 30-minute special, BOB MCKENZIE'S NHL DRAFT RANKING, leading up to the NHL Entry Draft.
James Duthie is the host of NHL ON TSN, alongside Hockey Insiders Bob McKenzie, Darren Dreger and Pierre LeBrun, commentator Dave Hodge, and SPORTSCENTRE anchor Darren Dutchyshen, who provides NHL news and highlights in intermission updates. Mike Johnson and Ray Ferraro appear frequently in studio as analysts when not providing colour commentary for the games. McKenzie, Dreger and LeBrun also provide their exclusive reports with INSIDER TRADING throughout the season.
Also on the NHL ON TSN is HODGEMAIL, a weekly segment in which Dave Hodge examines the NHL's hot-button issues, inviting viewers to weigh in via e-mail. Topics are posted at during the day on TSN.ca and introduced for the TV audience at the beginning of the NHL ON TSN broadcast. During the first intermission, Hodge presents responses from fans and completes the segment by giving his own view of the issue.
For the network's extensive NHL coverage, TSN uses two broadcast teams featuring play-by-play announcers Gord Miller and Chris Cuthbert. And TSN utilizes the 1-Up/1-Down and Front Row Centre formats during its hockey broadcasts. The 1-Up/1-Down technique has the crew in the broadcast booth providing analysis from between the benches at ice level, while Front Row Centre features both the play-by-play announcer and game analyst calling the game between the benches from ice level.
