WASHINGTON (Ticker) - Chris Clark finally is in the fold for the Washington Capitals.

The Capitals on Wednesday signed Clark, who was acquired from the Calgary Flames on August 4, to a contract.

Terms were not disclosed.

A restricted free agent, Clark was obtained by the Capitals for a conditional pick in the 2006 draft.  The 29-year-old helped Calgary to within one win of the Stanley Cup championship in 2004, recording three goals and three assists in 26 postseason games.

During the 2003-04 regular season, Clark registered 10 tallies and 15 assists in 82 contests.  A third-round pick out of Clarkson by the Flames in 1994, the native of South Windsor, Connecticut has 35 goals and 36 assists in 278 career games.
